You're an executive with a team of overworked employees. How can you model work-life balance for them?
I agree lead by example But, in too many organizations, the organization creates this problem, not adequate number of staff, very high touch manual processes, Executives won't, don't listen to their staff, and if one complains you may be written up next performance review It's mind boggling that some of the smartest people on the planet can't see or acknowledge this imbalance in my 40 year career many time the organization created this chaos and instead of changing things, seriously listening to their staff, they intentionally ignore staffs input, keep chaos going meaning overworking their staff day in day out. Many firms have funds but won't addl headcount, therefore staff afraid take sick day. Many workers are loyal and not deadbeats

What do you do if your team lacks motivation for knowledge sharing and continuous learning?
If one is perceived as and works in a executive capacity then that person is there to lead, investigative, obtain team perspective and individually why motivation is low. As a leader S/He should create an atmosphere where one's direct reports feel empowered, inspired and has the power to fix things themselves Only if they can't resolve it fully themselves should you as the executive have to make them do something as professionals we have to give the people doing the work latitude to do so. I have as a leader make sure it's not my fault why my team is not motivated. This mgmt style many times heard but have rarely seen in action because many executives, rule with iron fist, it's there way or the high way regardless they say otherwise

What do you do if you're an executive manager facing career obstacles?
Piggybacking off what some others have shared, as follows if one has been fortune to work long enough, if we're honest we ourselves we should know our strengths, weaknesses, have a good grasp of our capabilities and the wisdom to discern when go on, or put pride aside seek help brainstorm others if time permits bottom line if I decide to move forwards I plan my strategy to hopefully address as many challenges as possible within my risk tolerance

Derivatives Settlement Systems:
Back offices are racing to catch up with front office traders in the OTC derivatives market.
After regulators sounded the alarm about escalating paperwork backlogs three years
ago, participants have speeded up trade processing for ‘plain vanilla’ versions of
these exotic products even as trading volumes and outstanding notional balances
have soared. Yet the struggle to keep up never ends. As fast as one instrument
becomes standardized and trade settlement automated, product developers create
something new that requires custom documentation
