    I try to have a vocal voice for historic preservation. We host an SPS booth at the Scituate Farmers market every third Saturday for people to get to know the SPS. Our purpose is to foster an interest in the history and historic preservation of Scituate, Rhode Island.

    he conservation commission shall conduct researches into its local land areas and shall seek to coordinate the activities of unofficial bodies organized for similar purposes, and may advertise, prepare, print and distribute books, maps, charts, plans and pamphlets which in its judgment it deems necessary for its work. It shall make and keep an index of all open spaces within the town publicly or privately owned including open marshlands, swamps and other wetlands for the purpose of obtaining information on the proper use of such areas. It may recommend to municipal councils, boards or agencies, a program for the better promotion, development, utilization, or preservation of open areas, streams, shores, wooded areas, roadsides, swamps, marshlands, and natural aesthetic areas. It shall keep accurate records of its meetings and actions and shall file an annual report. It shall have power to appoint, subject to the approval and confirmation of the town council, and within the budget appropriated for it by the financial town meeting, a clerk and such other employees as it may from time to time require.

    Since the discovery of the shipwreck the Nautilus Productions staff has been the official video crew for the study & recovery of the infamous pirate Blackbeard's ship the Queen Anne's Revenge (Concorde). Our duties include providing video support to visiting media & documentary crews, video documentation of activities on site & the archaeological survey & recovery of artifacts from the shipwreck.
