OUR&D (formerly the Alt-E Fund) is a new foundation supporting early-stage cleantech R&D. Growth in US government funding of energy science and engineering has been nearly flat in real terms for decades,* stretching the same dollars across an ever-increasing set of critical problems. With the present uncertainty in the future of federal R&D funding, the time is now for a new approach to funding energy science, one that has worked for causes from cancer to ecology.
I am a volunteer with…OUR&D (formerly the Alt-E Fund) is a new foundation supporting early-stage cleantech R&D. I am a volunteer with OUR&D, supporting fundraising efforts and developing the criteria and methods that will be used to award grants to scientists and engineers for their research.
