How can you incorporate mental health into your organization's DEI communication initiatives?
Mental health is a critical component of overall wellbeing, & significantly impacts one's ability to thrive in the workplace. Depression, anxiety, & stress can have negative impacts on job performance, productivity & satisfaction. Moreover, marginalized groups, like people of color, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, & individuals with disabilities, may face additional mental health challenges due to systemic inequalities & discrimination. Consider these strategies to incorporate mental health into DEI communication Initiatives: 1. Raise Awareness & Reduce Stigma 2. Provide Mental Health Resources & Support 3. Address Intersectionality 4. Promote Work-Life Balance 5. Create a Supportive Work Environment 6. Evaluate & Improve Policies & Practices

How can you develop a communication strategy to engage your staff?
In my experience coaching executive clients, leaders who have embraced the following strategies earn greater trust with their teams, foster a culture of transparency, inclusivity, diversity of thought & drive results. Following are some tips: • Engage with your employees on a personal level. This is especially important for remote employees. • Build & nurture trust. Role-modeling is key! • Seek out & give meaningful feedback often. • Set &communicate clear expectations. • Communicate the company vision & mission. • Listen attentively with the intent to understand, not to reply. • Give clear context for tasks & use SMART goals. • Learn employee communication styles & adapt your communication accordingly.
