Throughout my internship experiences with federal government agencies, I dug through the intricacies and interpretations of Immigration Judges, Administrative Law Judges, and the BIA. During my internship with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (“EOIR”), I attended weekly Bureau of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”) attorney workshops. After several intense statutory trainings with the BIA, I began to research the many inconsistencies in the language of the Immigration Nationality Act (“INA”) and this inspired my article, Not All “Entries” Are Equal – The Law of “Entry” and “Admission” For Purposes of the Immigration and Nationality Act, where I analyze the removability of an alien under the INA in light of the developing BIA and Circuit Court precedent. I wrote this article in October 2012. I subsequently submitted this article and won the Fall 2012 National Law Review Student Writing Contest.
