Here's how you can secure a salary increase in a competitive job market.
Numbers! Numbers! Numbers! If you believe that you should be compensated a specific number, then you have to back it up with facts! When interviewing for any sales / recruiting role, you should come prepared with previous sales quota and target and where you are currently at in that. Same goes for a task oriented role. You want to highlight your accomplishments and prove your worth. Same goes with certification and degrees, they tell a story of how you are an expert in your field.

How can effective communication improve time management and customer satisfaction?
Customers like when you keep an open line of communication. My favorite question to ask is "help me understand", this allows the customer to just talk about their pain points. From there, you must really listen to understand the task at hand. Make sure you set clear expectations, let them know any bottlenecks that you know are going to occur, and clearly define how you will be providing a solution. At the end of the day you don't want to waste your time or the customers time. If you know something is unrealistic - tell them that! By being honest you're winning over your customer's respect which will pay off in the long run.
