The plan includes an Executive Summary, Situation Analysis, SWOT Analysis, Marketing Goals and Objectives, Marketing Strategy Development including Target Market, Strategic Specification, Positioning Statement, and Marketing Mix including the 4 P's, Marketing Implementation and Control and our Conclusion to the product.

    This project is correlated with the final selling class in the Sales Program at Texas State University. The purpose is to enhance the students' experience with all sales cycle phases from lead generation and presentation to negotiation, closing and follow-up. Texas State University has been honored the advancement into the WAC starting Fall 2012 and the task is to sell season tickets to local businesses within the San Marcos area. 3

    This project is in association to a cooperative partnership between the Embassy Suites-San Marcos Hotel & Conference Center, and Texas State University-San Marcos' Directed Study in Professional Sales Program developed to provide students with real world sales experience.

    Responsibilities & Goals of the 12 Designated Sales Teams and each Sales Director includes the following:

    --Proactively generate prospective leads consisting of company's and/or organizations by primarily utilizing internet research and meetings to properly qualify the lead

    --Once each lead has been properly qualified, and designated their lead status, utilizing the "A-B-C" prospect status classifications we coordinate the finalization of the company's or organization's event reservation with our Embassy Suites sales representative.

    -Conference Center Meeting Space Product Knowledge Development & Presentation:

    --The San Marcos Hotel and Conference Center offers meeting space that rivals the size of Texas! Our Grand Ballroom is 28,800 square feet and can divide into 10 sections. We offer ample space for events of all types, including a truly majestic 4,000 square foot veranda as part of Spring Lake Ballroom.
