The purpose is to enhance the students' experience with all sales cycle phases from lead generation and presentation to negotiation, closing and follow-up. Texas State University has been honored the advancement into the WAC starting Fall 2012 and the task is to sell season tickets to local businesses within the San Marcos area. 3

Responsibilities & Goals of the 12 Designated Sales Teams and each Sales Director includes the following:
--Proactively generate prospective leads consisting of company's and/or organizations by primarily utilizing internet research and meetings to properly qualify the lead
--Once each lead has been properly qualified, and designated their lead status, utilizing the "A-B-C" prospect status classifications we coordinate the finalization of the company's or organization's event reservation with our Embassy Suites sales representative.

--The San Marcos Hotel and Conference Center offers meeting space that rivals the size of Texas! Our Grand Ballroom is 28,800 square feet and can divide into 10 sections. We offer ample space for events of all types, including a truly majestic 4,000 square foot veranda as part of Spring Lake Ballroom.
