Holman Highway (SR 68) Roundabout
- Present
This multiple award winning project includes a hybrid roundabout and a tear-drop shaped roundabout located at the Holman Highway 68 and Highway 1 intersection, which is the main entrance to the Pebble Beach Resort. This project relieved congestion, improved emergency response times and enhanced safety at this critical intersection on the Monterey Peninsula. This innovative roundabout solution saved hundreds of trees and millions of dollars over the traditional signalized alternative.

SR99/SR104/Twin Cities Roundabouts

The Twin Cites Road/State Route 104 at State Route 99 Interchange modification represents a new paradigm in the approach to transportation planning and design of interchanges. This aging interchange was brought into the 21st Century for a fraction of the cost of a typical freeway interchange ($9 million vs $60 million) by Utilizing the “Wide Node, Narrow Road” aspect of roundabouts. Add to this the calming effect on traffic, incorporation of landscaping and artwork, and pedestrian connectivity…

This Active Transportation project is converting three car-centric roadway segments in the La Quinta Village into complete streets corridors through a road diet. The project is modifying five signalized or stop controlled intersections into roundabouts and reducing the roadways from a four to a two lane section. The extra lanes are being converted into buffered bicycle/golf cart lanes with some on street parking on two of the three corridors. Along all three corridors the project is installing…
