How can feedback help you find new speaking and collaboration opportunities?
We often seek & give 'feedback' to improve ourselves and others...but I rather prefer the term 'feedforward.' The 'back' and 'forward' versions of this practice share a common goal: to improve upon the current iteration. Here is the contrast: 'feedback' focuses on what has been done while 'feedforward' shines a light on the next opportunity. I desire the chance to give and receive 'feedforward' as this form of communication propels growth. Examples: "The introduction has a great hook. The next time you speak, add the step of identifying your listeners' pain points. This will draw them in even more." "The body of your speech addressed a number of current issues. When you deliver this again, provide a solution for each."

What are some effective strategies to cope with stress and burnout in educational leadership?
The perspectives we explore impact how we process our leadership roles, so we must be careful. I used to feed on unhealthy "Educator Quit-Tok." (If you know, you know.) These videos informed my perspective yet, quite frankly, wore me down. Now I seek voices to affirm uplifting beliefs: 1) I have the power to make meaning of my experiences, 2) difficult issues are always personal, but that does not mean they are about me, and 3) I need to guard against telling myself stories that are not true. Reading and listening to content that reminds me of these and other maxims builds my capacity to stave off/power through stress and burnout.
