This special evening marks a significant milestone for our students, many of whom are the first in their families to complete high school and enroll in college. The 10th Annual Academic Signing Day Gala honors our seniors' hard work, determination and academic futures as the top scholars from the Class of 2020 unveil where they have chosen to attend college.

This event is a collaboration with Whittier Street Health Center and The Raw Girls Group Mentor Program in celebration of Women’s Month. The purpose is to connect women from professional backgrounds, the executive levels, and young women to powerful information. The purpose is to connect women from professional backgrounds, the executive levels, and young women to powerful information. A Day of #Sisterhood’s purpose is to help build more mentor based relationships with young women from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.The young women in the Raw Girls Group Program have such bright futures and simply need guidance and direction. As we prepare these young women to be happy healthy successful leaders, we are asking for your support!
The target demographic is professional women in executive positions, young professionals, and young women ages 15-18. This will be a great way for women to hear stories about the impact mentors have on young women. This event will have food, music, a silent auction (artwork), keynote speakers, health and wellness workshops, a fashion show, and powerful dialog about breaking societal barriers and creating a sisterhood in the Greater Boston area but also within the urban communities.This event will create a platform for women to have healthy and open dialog about the responsibility we have to building future leaders in our young women and creating a cross generational sisterhood. Whittier Street Health Center will have medical professionals onsite to host wellness workshops throughout the day in break out sessions.
Lastly, we want to raise enough funds for the seven seniors that are in the Raw Girls Mentor Group at the Jeremiah E. Burke. The funds would go to helping them with books and room and board for college.
