Custom GNU/Linux OS

The sole purpose of developing a customized GNU/Linux OS was to understand the internals of Linux OS, concepts of toolchain and how to build your own Linux.
Additionally I installed LAMP server, GIT, Perl, OpenSSL, cURL and other utilities.
I also wrote a custom installer for this custom OS using uClibc and busybox so it can be installed on any PC. -
Automated tube-well Irrigation System

There are a lot of problems with the irrigation system in farms in India.
Once I needed to irrigate a part of land myself and that became a challenging task for me. Somehow I managed to complete the job.
That inspired me to develop such an irrigation system that can be controlled by one person only, with a smartphone/tablet.
This system comprised of sprinklers, water pump, custom PCB with relays and simple circuitry, WiFi router, PC with server application running, some C/C++…There are a lot of problems with the irrigation system in farms in India.
Once I needed to irrigate a part of land myself and that became a challenging task for me. Somehow I managed to complete the job.
That inspired me to develop such an irrigation system that can be controlled by one person only, with a smartphone/tablet.
