“Professor Edelman already knows the countless ways he has inspired me as a law student these past 3 years, and now it's time for the world of LinkedIn to know as well. My relationship with him began while I was a student in his Contracts class 1L year, when he called on me socratically for a complicated case I had not read. While most students would think back to a moment like this and cringe, I look back with gratitude, because it was the wake up call I needed. It was that moment, as I made a fool out of myself in a class of 102 students, when I realized it was time for me to quit being the slacker student I'd always been, and buckle down. While I didn't know it at the time, that same professor would eventually become my boss, my mentor, and the most positive influence outside of family that I've ever had. During my three years in law school, I had Marc Edelman as a professor almost every semester for Contracts I, Contracts II, Law & Professional Sports, Sports Law, Antitrust, and most recently IP Law. He is the most incredible professor I've ever encountered. He brings the perfect balance of challenging and fun into the classroom. He has an amazing way of taking the most complex and difficult areas of law, breaking them down in a way that's easy to understand, and relating them to real-world scenarios. I can honestly say I not only enjoyed, but actually looked forward to, every single class of his I've ever sat through. So much in fact, that when I did not get the opportunity to take Property with him 1L year, I would crash the class every chance I got. Of course, it doesn't hurt that he's absolutely hilarious. In addition to being his student, I've also happily served as his research assistant since summer after 1L year. Not only has working for him been an incredible experience because of all the countless ways I've learned from him, but assisting him with his law review articles inspired me to begin writing my own. Professor Edelman served as my advisor for my upper level writing paper, and allowed me to write on what started as a mere joke- South Park & the Law. To my surprise, that "joke" was developed into a note that was eventually accepted for publication by a sports & entertainment law journal at a top law school. I would have never even made an attempt at publishing as a student if it weren't for him pushing me to do so, and assuring me that I was good enough. Marc Edelman made my entire law school experience worthwhile. He cares about his students and inspires them to do great things. Looking back on the past 3 years, I simply cannot imagine what they would have been like without him. I unequivocally give him my highest recommendation as a professor, boss, and mentor. Anyone who ever gets the opportunity to learn from him or work with him should consider themselves fortunate.”

“I have had the personal pleasure of having attended a class taught by Professor Edelman. I am honored to say that he is by far the best instructor I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. Too many Professors deliver knowledge, but do not teach. Professor Edelman made very difficult material both interesting and easier to learn. My only complaint is that I wish I had the opportunity to have taken more classes with him. I to this day use comparative analysis in the law that I learned in his class. I am able to break down very difficult case law to a level that makes it easy to argue in Court. This is as a direct result of his teaching style. He is perhaps one of the most brilliant lawyers/instructors in the country. Having once been the President of the Federalist Society, I was given the opportunity to travel the country and attend lectures by some of today's most brilliant legal scholars, I can say for certain Professor Edelman is at the top of this list.
