The Leadership in Entrepreneurial Acceleration Program (LEAP) engages with and provides both training and funding to faculty, postdoc, graduate student, and staff teams with translational research and inventions with the goal of advancing Washington University’s intellectual property towards commercialization.

There are multiple cycles of LEAP each year. Throughout the program, teams receive mentorship from experts in their fields. At the end of each cycle, teams present to industry-relevant investors and representatives, and have the potential to win funding to help progress their inventions towards commercialization.

In accordance with Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 197, which was established in 1984, each child's case is reviewed every six months to ensure that necessary services are being provided.
