The Public Policy Committee of the Greater Greer Chamber exists to monitor relevant legislation at the local, state, and national level that affects the local business community and to advocate for the implementation of business friendly public policy.

Lions Clubs traditionally have supported causes and activities relating to vision health. In recent years, hunger alleviation, the environment, childhood cancer, and diabetes have been added to causes that Lions seek to address.

It was my privilege to help charter the Greer Centennial Lions Club in 2017. I'm proud of the work we continue to do to serve the Greer community.

The Greer Station Association consists of downtown Greer merchants and business people and exists to promote downtown Greer business to the broader community through cooperative marketing, events, networking, and education.

The GSA operates under the oversight and as part of the broader programming of the Greer Development Corporation.

The Planning Commission is a seven-member body that reviews and makes recommendations to Greer City Council concerning such requests as reviewing development plans in districts such as Planned Developments (PDs) for strict guidelines that are established, and granting final approval for subdivisions and other planning, zoning, and land development matters. The Planning Commission is a seven-member body that reviews and makes recommendations to Greer City Council concerning such requests as reviewing development plans in districts such as Planned Developments (PDs) for strict guidelines that are established, and granting final approval for subdivisions and other planning, zoning, and land development matters. It also carries out a continuing planning program for the physical, social, and economic growth of the community. The commission also considers amendments to the Zoning and Land Development Regulations, such as the Cluster Ordinance, provision for banners, and updating of Land Development Regulations (which include sidewalks and traffic impact studies for certain developments).

Added in 2018, flag football has been a very successful addition to the youth sports programming offered by the City of Greer Parks and Recreation department. It was a pleasure to coach my son's flag football teams in fall 2018 (Texans) and fall 2019 (Broncos).
