I spent a week in the summer volunteering at Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, a homeless shelter and drug rehabilitation in southern California, with a group of students from La Salle College High School. We traveled to migrant farm worker camps in the desert to bring food and water and assisted as needed at the Rescue Mission.
