How do you integrate internal communication research with other organizational functions and disciplines?
In my experience, Internal Communications is highly collaborative by nature - you literally interact and partner with leadership, employees, and every department in the organization. Internal Comms is also a key contributor supporting employee engagement. One tactic that I've found incredibly valuable is to set up a quarterly sync between Internal Comms team members, DEI leads, ERG Leads and their executive sponsors. This creates visibility into what key moments should be amplified company-wide as part of the larger company calendar, and sheds light on areas where ERGs could use extra support. This in-turn helps drive belonging and engagement by rallying those with influence to help champion, advocate and spotlight ERG needs.
