After you have time to acknowledge the setback and understand what the miss was, you can begin to track leading indicators and ensure you are keeping eyes on the right metrics. Building enough pipeline is step one, but making sure you are maximizing those valuable opportunities at every stage is critical for the health of the business and long term sustainability.

Your new sales team member is struggling with company sales techniques. How can you coach them to success?
Athletes don't just show up to the game and perform. It's no different in sales, yet this is the first thing to go by the wayside with all of the other day to day tasks to juggle. Setting aside deliberate practice time and explaining the "why" to the team is crucial. Don't waste time practicing on leads you paid to get. Take an athlete mentality and understand this will only help you have a greater chance of success.

Your sales team is feeling burnt-out. How can you re-energize them with effective strategies?
Acknowledging the stress is key, and making sure the team feels open to share what's going on internally. From there you can work on strategies to mitigate. What is the root cause and how can we come up with a plan to mitigate? Have a plan and work the plan and make sure to have regular check-ins to ensure progress. At the end of the day we are all human and empathy goes a long way.
