  • I was a student entrepreneur during MIT Launch, a 4-week program for high school students sponsored by MIT. During this time, I co-founded Optimeyes, a mobile vision screening application that aims to provide accessibility and convenience for parents in checking their child's vision and seeking professional eye care. Knowing that 1 in 4 children has some kind of vision problem, and at least 50% of these problems go unaddressed, I sought to make parents and children alike to become more active…

Knowing that 1 in 4 children has some kind of vision problem, and at least 50% of these problems go unaddressed, I sought to make parents and children alike to become more active in their eye health in an easy way.

    As Co-Founder, my responsibilities involved:
    - implementing day-to-day and long-term plans
    - designing promotional materials and the app itself
    - communicating to potential customers
    - addressing gaps that still need to be filled, organizing the team, networking, and so on.

  • I attended Columbia's Science Honors Program. I've taken the Neuroscience, Genetics and Biodiversity, Therapeutics, and Organic Chemistry classes.

    I was a coach and organizer for the Special Olympics Figure Skating program at my local ice rink. I taught mentally disabled children to skate, coaching them on jumps and spins to choreographing their routines. I performed in the annual Special Skaters show and have helped to fundraise for this program.
