  • Quality care, anywhere and everywhere, safely delivered

    Palo Alto Case Study

I am thrilled to share insights from our case study with Palo Alto Networks at Atlantic Health System. We revolutionized our healthcare delivery by implementing Prisma SD-WAN, enhancing patient care and data security. This strategic move not only streamlined our network across over 400 care locations but also significantly cut down costs, demonstrating our commitment to both technological excellence and affordable healthcare. A game-changer in how we provide quality care everywhere!

Keeping those modern tools reliable and instantly available is the job of IT departments. And one of the most forward-looking of those departments is at Atlantic Health System (AHS), a non-profit New Jersey organization with five hospitals, over 1,600 beds and relationships with thousands of practitioners statewide. In the United States, Meaningful Use objectives defined by the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) under the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act have propelled hospitals to lead the way in the adoption of electronic health records (EHR) in order to optimize care delivery and improve patient outcomes.

  • CASE STUDY - Award-winning hospital transforms healthcare IT with VCE Vblock and EMC data protection

    EMC

Following years of expansion and adoption of advanced medical technologies, Chilton’s data center was running out of space. The hospital had accumulated a mixture of HP and IBM servers with direct-attached storage, as well as some earlier-generation EMC unified storage. Faced with a long list of new projects to expand its MEDITECH environment and meet meaningful use requirements for electronic healthcare record (EHR) projects, Chilton had to either build out a new data center or consolidate its…

The hospital had accumulated a mixture of HP and IBM servers with direct-attached storage, as well as some earlier-generation EMC unified storage. Faced with a long list of new projects to expand its MEDITECH environment and meet meaningful use requirements for electronic healthcare record (EHR) projects, Chilton had to either build out a new data center or consolidate its existing infrastructure.

Chilton decided to explore virtualization and evaluated solutions from HP and EMC. The healthcare provider replaced its previous HP, IBM, and EMC systems with a single VCE Vblock Infrastructure Platform comprised of EMC, Ciscp, and VMware technologies.
