“I had the pleasure to learn the basics of digital media landscape and trafficking from Michael during his tenure at Dentsu Aegis. Together, we handled 14 accounts across many different verticals: CPG, financial, entertainment, and luxury retail brands. Michael was a dedicated team member who never hesitated to stay late to help out without being asked. He was very focused on improving work flows and even designed a new trafficking sheet for our agency. Personally, I hope to work with Michael again in the future, it's rare to find someone so dedicated to educating himself and sharing that knowledge with those around him. ”

The inaugural Stiefel Student Award 2013 was announced on March 17, 2014 as a team of three SDSU business students who submitted the winning project using SAP Predictive Analytics and Lumira applications to analyze and resolve a business issue. All student projects were submitted for consideration in December 2013.
The winning student team, John Ly, Gabi Carlos and Michael Batuyong, were under the supervision of marketing professor, Andrew Baker as they studied and offered a solution to…The inaugural Stiefel Student Award 2013 was announced on March 17, 2014 as a team of three SDSU business students who submitted the winning project using SAP Predictive Analytics and Lumira applications to analyze and resolve a business issue. All student projects were submitted for consideration in December 2013.
The winning student team, John Ly, Gabi Carlos and Michael Batuyong, were under the supervision of marketing professor, Andrew Baker as they studied and offered a solution to their challenge titled “Brand Royalty”. They were three of the 73 students on 25 teams that participated.
The Stiefel Student Awards are sponsored through a generous gift from Catherine Stiefel (’92, accounting) and is open to all students in classes using enterprise technologies such as SAP. In the fall of 2013, students in ACCTG 673, MIS 753, and MKTG 496 participated in the competition.
These awards mark the first time SDSU’s College of Business Administration has launched an intra-college student competition.
