The Lifeboat Foundation is a nonprofit nongovernmental organization dedicated to encouraging scientific advancements while helping humanity survive existential risks and possible misuse of increasingly powerful technologies, including genetic engineering, nanotechnology, and robotics/AI, as we move towards the Singularity.

I have worked on developing several curriculums for TechSpark, a UX program for inner city youth, an iPad app making program for 9-year-old girls in partnership with the Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women’s Empowerment. I’ve also worked on a Black History focused UX curriculum with The Harriet Tubman Institute at York University.

A weblog created to ask the tough questions in an attempt to generate discussion, provoke thought and stir the imagination about accelerating technology. It aims to spark a conversation about the impact of technology, exponential growth and artificial intelligence.
