How can you benefit from adaptability in public speaking?
Practice is critical to develop adaptability in public speaking. Rehearse, out loud and "full out," in front of a mirror, your peers, kids, pets, and anyone who will listen. Wear the outfit and shoes you will have on during the speaking engagement. Ask those who listen to give you unvarnished feedback that you will then implement during the next rehearsal. With this level of preparation, you're no longer worried about delivery and how you are coming across. That's in the bag. Now you can focus on engaging with the audience and showing off all of your hard work by giving an amazing speech!

For every success, there may have been many challenges along the way. Share the pitfalls, failures, mistakes, bumps, and bruises that it took to get to the victory. Not only will your readers be encouraged and inspired, but showing vulnerability will certainly foster a connection and trust with your audience.
