As a result of a number of acquisitions this global financial institution currently had more than 900 information flows from 250 + disparate systems of record (SORs);it included over 27,000 databases, and 100+ registered provisioning points -- roughly 10K TB for reporting platforms. The data hub migration I supported was an enterprise initiative to move to a single integrated data model; essentially one data hub, less than 100 SORs and fewer than 20 provisioning points. The new provisioning environment also required approximately 50% less storage and significantly reduced data latency. The technologies implemented were IBM CDC for core applications and Oracle GoldenGate for the other sourcing. My primary responsibility was managing the migration schedules for 9 enterprise LOB-supported SORs. I worked with multiple development teams of application developers, system analysts, QA analysts, business analysts, project managers, their team leads; I created and managed the project schedules (WBSs) of core initiatives and remediation or similar “go-to-green” efforts as needed.
