The Pan-African Development (PAD) Initiative represents a significant milestone for Red Monolith as it embarks on its inaugural endeavor. This initiative was born out of the recognition of the crucial importance of shaping the Pan-African narrative. The 2nd Liberia Marathon boasted over 2000 registrations representing people from a diverse range of genders, class levels, physical abilities, and backgrounds.

My role as Entertainment Director included:
▪ Coordinating with the rest of the Core Marathon Committee to ensure smooth operations on the day of the event
▪ Planning an interactive and entertaining program that included music from Blackest 305, comedy from Boutini, and performances by Nasseman and Takun J

▪ Identifying and liaising with talent, including developing contracts
▪ Negotiating with suppliers so that we came in $500 below budget Show less

• Translating/transcribing of the footage from the documentary adaptation of the novel, Half the Sky, written by Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn that will premier on PBS in October 2012. The role also consisted of time coding, splitting of large Quicktime rushes, working with cam sheets.

Towson Town Center is a shopping center in the Baltimore/ Washington D.C. market with close proximity to two well-known colleges. In order to capitalize on their location, we developed a magazine directly targeting college students. To maximize awareness, we also created an advertising campaign that included in-center signage. The magazine was given out to all incoming freshmen at Towson University and featured articles about college life and style trends as well as information about Towson… Show more
