Education early is important! Teach the employees what their equity in the company means, how they will ever be able to access it, and how to maximize it. Help them understand ISOs vs RSUs. Help them understand possible secondary scenarios. Help them understand 83b elections and QSBS. The more educated they are, the more aligned they are.
