It's also important to make sure you dive deeper into the details that don't always show up in these reports. On instagram, for example, you can tell exactly which post lead to more followers, but those metrics won't show up in a third party tool. The best thing you can do is get started so you can build a base line and know how to set intelligent projections and targets.

So many people mistakingly think they need to create a content calendar so they can create new content all year round. Those who want a leveraged social schedule with a focus on lead generation and sales know that you can repost your content in most platforms. So after posting content for 3 months, look at the best posts and and then to a repeatable content queue with a tool like Metricool or Smarterqueue.

When I was teaching singing lessons, one of my favorite exercises to help with transition began registers was a light Vocal Fry siren. "Staying in touch" can feel overwhelming especially when you don't have a personal relationship with the person who is running the auditions. When I teach Social Media Marketing at the Orange County High School of the arts, I show them how to create a Power Partner Tracking sheet where they list out their top potential connections and industry leaders. THEN... rather than waiting to follow up AFTER an audition... they start connecting NOW. The key is to keep your intention on the connection and then leave the goal of being cast in a project as a secondary objective. Otherwise you become a "salesy-weirdo."
