Then, before you begin, learn how to market yourself through content creation and storytelling. Once you’re ready to start. Time chunk your schedule. All time should go to marketing until you get that first client. Target a tight demographic. Find your niche. You can’t be all things to all people. Once you have some cash coming your way, you have a business. Then shift the appropriate amount of your schedule to service your client(s) while maintaining time blocks to continue to work ON your business instead of IN it.

It’s important to fail forward. What I mean by this is that we are destined to make mistakes. We are human. The only people who rarely make a mistake are the ones who never push the envelope. Leaders are Mavericks who think differently and are bold enough to put themselves out there always challenging the status quo. They fail forward because the still grow. They grow because they learn from their mistakes. They then get up and try something different.

It’s important to show humility and honesty as a leader. If we made a bad decision, it’s important to let your team know. It shows you are human. Also, admitting you made a bad decision models to the team that mistakes will happen and if they do, there is grace. This takes the fear of making mistakes away from the team and allows them to be bold enough to try new things.

Relational But, even before training hire mindset over skillset. Look for people who care about others. Then lead the charge by caring for them.
