  • Mobilizing Social Networks for Innovation & Entrepreneurial Success

    Euroweek 2015 - Prime Networking

    Research shows that entrepreneurs mobilize different networks (business, professional, family and friends) as sources of knowledge, new ideas, financing and support. When the entrepreneur acquires more knowledge, there is greater probability of success. Access to knowledge is believed to depend on the degree of closeness between network members, and network structure can influence the diffusion of information across networks.

    Euroweek is a business competition that involves 18 countries and gives students the opportunity to research, network and develop professionally in an international setting. There were three components to the competition; an oral presentation with a PowerPoint, a research paper, and a project display stand. My product, Sticky Quotes, was chosen as the overall winner of the competition across all categories. This experience provided me with funding to further the success of my business, and an invaluable networking opportunity with experienced professionals, entrepreneurs and Long Island…
