    The WKAR’s Development Council is the primary volunteer fundraising body for WKAR (PBS-TV and Radio for MSU). Council members support and advocate for the advancement of WKAR, and work with the Dean on the unit’s role in the Michigan State University’s Capital campaign. Council members are given unique access to engage in special opportunities of WKAR.

    The WKAR’s Development Council is the primary volunteer fundraising body for WKAR (PBS-TV and Radio for MSU). Council members support and advocate for the advancement of WKAR, and work with the Dean on the unit’s role in the Michigan State University’s Capital campaign. Council members are given unique access to engage in special opportunities of WKAR.

    The Development Council is composed of community leaders drawn from WKAR members, donors, underwriters, mid-Michigan leaders, and other groups as needed. Members will be selected by the Dean, and will serve at the request of the Dean. Members serve three year terms. Council membership may range from 10 to 20 members.
