Completed Conversion from Fully Insured to Self Insured Plan
-
In late 2013 we decided to make the switch from a fully insured medical plan to a self insured plan. During this conversion I was involved in plan/carrier selection, plan design, and oversaw the actual conversion of over 175 employees. I also participated in several implementation meetings with other departments, such as our accounting and finance department, to help develop our practice of how to manage the financial side of the plan.
