Activities and Societies: I took wonderful religious studies classes in English, at the school for overseas students. I also took two of the hardest courses of my life: Differential Equations and Probability Theory, both entirely in Hebrew, a language I had been studying for three months when they began. I passed them both, but it took me longer to translate the story problems than to actually solve them.
Everyone should spend a year overseas, even if it's a horrendous challenge to keep your major on track.
