    Civil Rights and Social Action

The Legal Aid Society gave me my first taste of being a "real" lawyer. When I had taken the bar exam, I called them to volunteer with them. At that point, I went in to their offices one day per week. That lasted about a year. Now I take on their clients who are in financial distress and help those folks through the Chapter 7 bankruptcy system, as appropriate, on a pro bono basis.
