Nicole Ossey

Helping coach and direct high school age kids (13-18 years old) in traditional Greek folk dance in order to prepare for local performances and an annual competition held in California each year. As the director we set practice schedules, research new material to teach and conduct practice 1-2 times per week.

Coordinated volunteers to help serve food over a 3-day food and culture festival organized and operated by members of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Portland, OR.

This 4-day event, which has approximately 2000 people in attendance, is held annually in California. I had to travel every 6 weeks to 2 months to California for meetings to plan the event.

During the summer in High School and College I would volunteer at a summer camp for families who had a child with cancer, either in remission or in-treatment. The Buddy Program was designed so the children would do fun activities with their buddies while their parents had some time for rest & relaxation. This camp was planned and organized by the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Portland, Oregon.
