Celebrate even small wins. Also, be sure to discuss and understand how each of your team members likes to be recognized and rewarded. Some like the public shout-outs, for example while others don't.

Here's a weekly schedule you can steal or customize to keep you close to your team while also providing flexibility and autonomy. Monday - 15-min check-ins with each tam members to discuss key priorities and ensure alignment. Tuesday - 1-hour team meeting w/ full team Wednesday - "Jam Session" AKA Creative Brainstorming and problem-solving. I recommend making these optional, but if you're doing it right, people will choose to show up. Help each other talk through and solve problems. Thurs - 45-min 1:1's w/ each team member. Focus on relationship building and career progression, not work (unless they want to use the time that way). Friday - 30-minute EOD "GBC" (Good/Bad/Celebration) to get closure for the week. Celebration is personal.

If you make a promise, keep it. Otherwise don't make the promise. This doesn't need to be a full article. Underpromise, overdeliver.

This is all great advice, but here's what I think you really need to hear... If your goal is to "Go viral," you're already setting yourself up for failure. Educate, Entertain, Inspire. Be innovative and try to connect with your audience in new and interesting ways that feel shareable. Whether something goes viral or not is not something you can control, and if you're banking on it, you'll more than likely be disappointed.

Identifying your brand ethos, including your values, vision, mission, etc, is foundational — but it's only as valuable as your organization and peoples willingness to live up to them. There are two key aspects to this. First, I'm a big believer that your brand foundations are something you uncover, not something you create/manufacture. In other words, you should be formalizing what already exists in your organization. The second aspect is ensuring that once it's solidified and documented, that these foundations are shared and internalized by your team. Once it's engrained in your companies culture, your brand will undoubtedly be more resilient.

The vast majority of organizations and marketers overindex their resources towards content creation and don't spend nearly enough time on the promotion aspect. It requires a shift in thinking. Every piece of content you publish doesn't need to be brand new. Content repurposing and recycling enables you to "do more with less" by focusing on a core asset and then making the most of it, promoting it across platforms for different audiences in new and unique ways that play into the strengths of each platform. We've entered the golden age of repurposing. If you have limited resources, I recommend creating a core asset and then breaking it down. An blog post could be turned into dozens of smaller social assets. Same for a podcast or video.
