How can you find the most user-friendly structural analysis software for beginners?
My perspective is this…find a software that most easily reflects the intuitive results the beginner should have achieved with hand calculations. So many times we throw beginners into a software and spreadsheet based solution engine without them knowing the fundamentals that cause results (both correct and erroneous).

How can you manage quality control in a fast-paced structural engineering project?
All deliverables, work packages, or whatever is going to be delivered should be on the schedule. As each one progresses toward the end date, there should be gates to count % complete. If this is done, you can determine if it will be delivered on time. "Rushing to completion" is a recipe for quality issues.

How can you manage quality control in a fast-paced structural engineering project?
There should be a robust and uncompromising checking process in place. It's ok to embrace the push & pull of the design process with "unchecked" deliverables or "progress prints", but before the drawings, calculations, or any product gets to the customer...it's imperative that it is checked by a senior engineer/designer/checker.

Before the project gets started, it's important to have a written execution plan, and a meeting of the entire team to discuss it, agree to it, and then implement it. Oftentimes setting expectations early eliminates potential pitfalls later on.
