Senior Thesis
-
My thesis examined the often-unacknowledged contributions of Robert Franklin William, who was one of the most influential black activists of the Civil Rights Movement. Williams was from Monroe, North Carolina and he advocated for black-armed self-defense. In my thesis, I argued that his ideology not only influenced the Civil Rights Movement, but also challenged and questioned to what extent our system of government support African Americans at that time.
