A simple point of preflighting your aircraft after an annual or re-fabrication of a control surface. Airplanes have crashed just from missing counterweights. NASTRAN and other codes get you in the right sweet spot to then verify by actual flight test.

Initiated and oversaw an investigation of drag and ground effects for Leitzinger Racing’s SCCA Camel GTU Datsun 280ZX which was performed at the Pennsylvania State University wind tunnel. The team later became national champions in 1989.

Prompted the integration of my wing design using winglets to Penske Racing's championship race car design. The fitted vehicles placed second (Al Unser, Sr.) and third (Rick Mears) in the 1983 Indianapolis 500. There were only three cars on the same last lap.
