What do you do if your media pitches aren't grabbing attention?
The issue may not be the content of the media pitches, but the targeted media outlets might be the wrong audience. From my experience, media pitches need to be like a sniper seeking to score specific hits, and not like a birdshot shotgun of trying to hit everything. Be specific with your pitch to the correct audience.

What do you do if you're overwhelmed by competing deadlines and priorities as a public administrator?
In my experience from war zone work of 80 plus hours per week working seven days a week, the most urgent tasks need attention first. Dedicate your time and energy using the satisficing principle. Put into it just what is necessary to meet the need. You cannot put extra time and energy above the marginal returns principle.The law of diminishing returns is real. Move on to the next most urgent task and use the same principle. Last, make sure you avoid activity and focus on productivity.
