How can space systems foster innovation and creativity in lunar exploration and development?
What Sputnik was in 1957, the Moon is in 2024. The sheer audacity and difficulty of landing, let alone staying on the moon, showcases technical and technological capabilities, indeed, potentially superiority. As such, space capabilities to reach, explore, use, communicate with, and develop the Moon are a huge force for innovation given the immense difficulty of the environment. Everything is 10x to 100x more difficult on the moon than in LEO. As the moon has clear scientific and potential military benefit, I firmly believe that a moon economy is developing and will be thriving in the next decade or two while Mars will be driven by different, more individualistic goals and desires.

How do you design a satellite for a specific mission and user need?
One thing we have found often when working with customers is that they start with " I need a satellite that is this big, has this much power, resolution, etc". Rather than engaging in that discussion, or even asking for a description of the mission, is asking "What problem are you going to solve for your customers?". I found that starting with the business side often leads to much more appropriate space segments, than starting with the technical side right away.
