How do you align your value proposition with your target market's needs and pain points?
It’s also important to research and understand sales channels. Do you sell directly, through a distributor, through a consultant? If directly, is this best done through conferences and relationship building, media campaigns, or outreach campaigns? If a distributor, does that firm have sufficient incentive to sell your product? On top of that, think about the size/price point of the product. It’s much easier and faster to sell small (or even free) products, and then expand the relationship (land-and-expand).

How do you align your value proposition with your target market's needs and pain points?
One thing I’ve noticed is that it’s important to match your target company size with your own size, experience, and “qualifications” (I.e current client base.) Unless you have a very very compelling value prop, you’re unlikely to win middle-sized clients until you have small clients, and you’re unlikely to win large clients until you have middle-sized clients.
