How can you minimize project risks with effective testing?
Test early in the design cycle to inform design decisions. Prototypes that replicate key features that are difficult or impossible to adequately analyze. Too often testing is waiting on a test article that is close to the final product and months or weeks pass without information that could be incorporated in the design process. I am also a fan of testing to extremes and beyond specification values. If you don't experience a failure or push the test article beyond design requirements you don't learn as much as you can from a failure.
