“Rob personifies the servant leader approach in managing our team. He constantly exemplifies patience in assigning tasks, and takes the time to demonstrate new concepts – which in many cases are integral to the team providing high quality deliverables to the client. Not only does the team accomplish our goals and provide required deliverables, but because of Rob’s leadership, we acquire new and significant skills along the way.

Rob’s successes as a manager are rooted in his ability and gift of interacting, communicating, and managing people. Rob not only leads his team, but empowers and enables them to succeed. Rob’s customer centric philosophy is critical to PMST’s (and Edwards’) success – even with the most difficult clients. He is always conscious and cognizant of client culture, structure, and priorities, and finds solutions (either himself or in collaboration with team members) that are practical and effective. Rob always treats the client in a courteous and respectful way, even in the face of unreasonable requests. Again, the relationships with the client that Rob has cultivated and his role as a trusted partner are invaluable to the success of Edwards. Rob developed an approach and format for creating dashboards that utilizes out of the box reports from MS Project that then feed customized dashboards for several components within CMS. This capability has a multiplier effect because it can, from one solution, provide useful information for a variety of PMST assignments. Rob also promotes “cross pollination” of solutions amongst the team. He facilitated the sharing of schedule statusing solutions between the New Medicare Card project and QPP and CPI. The success of these implementations have resulted in greater customer satisfaction, greater team member satisfaction, and the addition of an additional innovative tool in Edwards’ toolkit.” Show less

As Edwards pursued our Maturity Level 3 validation, Rob spent countless hours creating the PIID and developing supporting documents to align with Edwards' EPA. He attended review sessions and educational seminars; while advocating, promoting, and applying CMMI/Edwards best practices. Rob led his team through trainings, team exercises, and documents creation, while focusing on customer needs and implementing new tools. Rob maintained the majority of the CMMI/PIID workload; and, as in all things, he tackled the pressure with calm and humility.
