In a truly collaborative and inclusive effort, the Subcommittee for the Port Call Process Data Dictionary has been tirelessly working to create a standardized list of terms, data exchange points, and data points to be shared at each Port Call data exchange event. This crucial initiative, which has seen the active and invaluable participation of various stakeholders in the port call process, including agents, inspectors, terminals, and charterers, underscores the importance of every stakeholder's contribution. The primary focus of this project was on the Actual Time of Arrival (ATA) at the port to the Actual Time of Arrival (ATA) at the berth, a vital aspect of the port call process.

  • Oil glut in Houston? Change = Opportunity

Looking back a year ago there was an oil glut in Cushing Oklahoma. The oil coming in far exceeded Cushing's capacity to push it south. At the same time, refiners on the Gulf Coast began bringing on capacity expansion projects increasing the demand in the region. That set up a classic supply and demand imbalance. Any “Economics 101” student can you tell you what happened next - a dislocation in price for oil in the two regions.
