What do you do if your computer hardware company is struggling to attract and retain top talent?
Top talent sometimes needs to be nurtured. I have always been amazed how HR can just decide to not hire someone based on one or two answers which they didn't like. When I hire, I look for someone teachable and trainable. A great employee is not born that way. You may have to create an environment that leads them to greatness.

How do you evaluate the reliability and scalability of mesh network or repeater for wireless networking?
Evaluating using redundancy, fault tolerance among others are great things to consider. I like to evaluate these areas in the production environment. That's because wireless users don't use Wi-Fi evenly. There are light users and wireless titans, and the Wi-Fi bandwidth available is vary narrow and easily used up. I like to use heat maps. They tell us where the use is heavy and where the coverage may not be adequate. You can gather logs with this information over time to find your reliability index in a way that works for the organization much better than just doing the "math". It also shows us wireless signal bleed from other nearby wireless access points where we can add dampeners to further add reliability for our clients.
