I hear it every day that people do no hear from recruiters or back from a job application etc. The key here is going back to basics. True networking. Pick up that phone and speak with people in your network, ask for referrals, and reach out directly to people on Linkedin. We have moved too far from the personal connection and need to get back to one-to-one communication where people can hear who you really are! If you need any more advice always feel free to reach out! Happy to help where I can. This is tough for so many people, even the most experienced. Remember you are not alone. Perseverance in this market is key!

This is such a big one! I would start with making sure you join in with humility and a desire to connect and learn first and foremost! Building trust in the beginning is always the key to a successful leader. Remember every team member has value to provide. Find out what the individuals value is, ask for their inside, make sure they know you are their to hear them and that you value their expertise. And most of all keep the ego at the door!

Hiring sales talent is not only about software, the key to hiring top sales talent is to understand the human motivators, values, and overall fit to the goals of the organization. BUT networking softwares that can be helpful to reach out include Dripify, Apollo AI and RocketReach to name a few.

Reaching out to your network to find the jobs that have not been listed is the most effective way of landing your dream job. This is not to say do not apply to posted roles. BUT from my research over 85% of jobs are landed through networking. My recommendation is to have a clear vision of the type of job and industry you want, reach out to your connections in this industry, and send a concise note detailing what type of help you are looking for and how much time you are requesting. I would also recommend offering to return the favor in any way you can. People typically like to be of service and are usually more than willing to help if they can.

I always appreciate a short concise note with a relevant background. Unfortunately many people send emails that are not specific to my expertise showing they have not done their homework and I am probably not the best person to support them. Also remember to check in from time to time amd own part of the responsibility with the recruiter. Recruiters have to keep in touch with many candidates, but don’t always have the right job for the right person at the right time. But it’s the long-term relationships that always pay off. Invest time and building that relationship when you do not need the Recruiter so when you do need them, they will already know who you are.
