“I coached Ross Parrent on my team for over ten years. During that time Ross wore many hats to keep our call center running, supporting not only my group, but several others around the world as well. Ross is a thorough planner. I could depend on him to produce time sensitive, sequential and achievable results with his advanced planning when moving systems, updating software or adding physical hardware components. Ross was our man on the ground with the system infrastructure in the Denver labs. Ross was often called upon to move the system from one location to another, whether to the other side of the building or to the other side of town. Ross’ project planning and execution always minimized downtime and kept our system running in all circumstances. Ross could be depended upon to go the extra mile. Within the first month when Ross took a previously scheduled week off, and he was new to the job, he dropped his vacation plans and logged in remotely to service a failed component of the system. I was impressed early on by his dedication to the job. Ross regularly worked weekends - beyond scheduled hours - to support our system without impacting the production system engineers who’s jobs enabled the closure of monthly sales deals to the impact of $50k to $1M on any given month. His dedication to the team included remote desktop assistance supporting agents with laptop configuration, providing virtual machines where PC upgrades were not budgeted, troubleshooting network interruptions and assisting with planning details for upcoming system changes. Ross assumed the role of purchasing manager for our team, taking on proposals for new equipment, approvals, purchasing and payments within corporate constraints and guidelines. Ross was also my go-to resource for updating the technical programming of the systems, in each of the many components. Ross’ was dramatically pressured to pick up the slack when his colleague, the other half of our infrastructure team, abruptly left the group due to an accident. Per his usual dedication, Ross immediately identified a support resource to jump in and train him to do the other man’s specialized work, learning quickly and keeping the center on track. Ross was a valuable asset to my team. I’m sure he will be to yours as well.”
