I am the lead coach for an entirely new approach to managing your social business.

I offer a mindful approach to using social media and web/bobile tools, and especially dedicated to consultants, artists, small business owners, marketing managers, and nonprofits. This is an idea that has literally been on my wish list, years in the making! But it was only recently that I found the perfect web-based platform!

Innovative program to build year-long social buzz for a remote island in Hawaii. It won the award for Best Social Media Campaign in the state of Hawaii, given by Pacific Edge.

I worked with a large Hawaii-based nonprofit to launch their social business practice. Over the course of 7 months, I worked with an internal team to build a new website (on WordPress), set up all their social accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), establish a brand voice, and manage two small social marketing campaigns.

Over the course of 7 months, I worked with an internal team to build a new website (on WordPress), set up all their social accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), establish a brand voice, and manage two small social marketing campaigns.

This was an ideal program as they invited me into their organization to help create a "social business" culture. I lived in the office a few days a month and our social team met via Skype for an hour each week. We used Basecamp to set and track goals and to do's and develop strategy and policy docs. I shared my connections both in social media and in traditional media and helped them launch as professionals and tap into a wider network of nonprofit professionals.

This type of methodical, organic learning was very effective as we were able to proceed at a steady pace while allowing for the client's changing schedule. I was available 24/7 for Q&A and emergency response; each person on the team was able to connect with me via the communication method of their choice.

We practiced at each step of the way, both in the ways we interacted as a team as well as in how we spread the message throughout the 400+ employee organization.

The project culminated in a Training Day that brought all of us together in one location, filmed by an aerial drone flight and shared on social media! It was the first company meeting where employees were encouraged to bring their mobile devices and share the highlights on social networks. Show less
