The primary problem of this study was to understand the lived experiences of lesbian,
gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) employees in the workplace and their
opportunities for hiring and promotions within an organization. The purpose of this qualitative
phenomenological study was to explore the lived experience of why organizations do not fully
utilize their self-identification for LGBTQ employees the same way they use diversity criteria for
hiring and talent practices. This study used qualitative research methods to gather data from
interviews, surveys and focus groups that contain direct quotes from either people who identified
as LGBTQ, worked in HR, or worked on diversity and inclusion initiatives within their
organization. The findings of this study were demonstrated by themes that found selfidentification options during the employee recruitment phase were linked with greater hiring
intention from the perception of the participants in this study. This analysis and its findings add
to the collection of literature that advocates for further inclusive behaviors for the LGBTQ
community in not only employment but all aspects of their lives. The overall findings of this
study revealed the effects of LGBTQ diversity and inclusion on internal movement and the
    perception of LGBTQ employees

Using in-application technology, our team delivers on-demand context, instruction, and learning to accelerate organizational adoption and reinforce critical skills and behaviors necessary for a successful digital transformation.

Project Team selection based on five key factors/qualities:
    • Big Picture thinker – can see the “art of the possible” and paint the picture for others
    • Highly collaborative, solution-oriented – seeks out ways to engage others in "ideation" and execution
    • Manages self and others through ambiguity – is comfortable with the unknown
    • Courage to think differently and try something new (with purpose)
    • Believes that supporting our employees and our collective experience is core to driving success
