“I've had the pleasure of knowing Sam for over four years. He was an academic peer, cadet superior, mentor, and great friend of mine while attending Norwich University. Fortunately, that friendship hasn't changed, and I've been able to be a part of Sam's transition from a four year military college to a private sector career. I first met Sam when I was a freshman at Norwich. His leadership and involvement was diverse throughout the University and it stayed that way until he graduated. His cadet leadership, academic excellence, and athletic leadership undeniably steered his way for a prosperous four years at Norwich University. He was always willing to lend a helping hand as a mentor to new cadets and athletes. I saw a strong ability to not just to be a part of the team, but lead the team. I was personally benefited by his mentor-ship and leadership throughout my entire undergraduate career. During his final year when most seniors “check out,” Sam was incredibly passionate and dedicated to make a difference throughout the University. He was a leader on the Corps Honor Committee, involved in the Student Government Association, and served as the Community Athletic Liaison (CAL) for the entire Corps of Cadets, consisting of nearly 2000 cadet students. Sam coordinated community events for the entire University and Corps of Cadets to participate in, was the top liaison of all athletic teams to the Corps of Cadets, and played a critical role in building the Cadets pride and moral during a much needed time. I was privileged with seeing Sam apply his passionate and strong moral and pride within his organization, directly leading to an overall high moral in the organization resulting in better results and productivity. I'm very excited to see what the future holds for Sam! ”
