Vision 6 by 6 is a School Eye Care Program for children from low resource communities. 15 out of 100 students in the schools we reached out to couldn't see the board clearly, many of them developing an aversion towards schooling. Vision 6 by 6 addresses this largely under-reported and under-funded problem of decreased vision in school children. The model is inexpensive, effective and scalable. The program has served 10,000 children at under $1.5 per child. 92% children adhere to suggested treatment, making it a very satisfying experience for us. Our vision is to give every underprivileged child access to basic eye care, and thus provide an equal opportunity to excel at school.
